Viktor Cepeda fell in love with the guitar at 13. He got into music from listening to Pop and Punk, but he slowly began to get more involved with the acoustic guitar around his freshman year of high school. He started listening to a John Mayer album his mom gave him. Even though he was a bit hesitant to listen to the CD, he started to see the challenge in John Mayer’s playing, and wanted to learn what John was doing.

By learning John Mayer’s style of playing, he began to listen to other Artist and adapt their playing styles as well. Like Jack Johnson, Justin King, Jason Mraz, The Beatles, Jamie Cullum, Kyle Riabko, Ray Charles, and Stevie Wonder. After a while he wanted to pick up his electric guitar again, he started listening to Stevie Ray Vaughn, Buddy Guy, B.B. King, Freddie King, Muddy Waters, Chuck Berry, Eric Clapton, and Jimi Hendrix. His whole perception on music had changed. He fell into the blues, and started finding his soul.

During his high school years Viktor began to write songs. He began to get his inspiration from relationships, friends, and life. These songs are his expressions, of what goes on in his life.

"If the lyrics weren't by me, I wouldn't feel the song. I wouldn't be able to express it the best way I can, unless it’s from the heart."

Viktor Graduated the "one Year" Program at the LA Music Academy, and is now playing Local Shows in Hollywood and Pasadena.

"Music is my passion; from day one I knew I was going to have music in my life. When you start playing and writing, you start opening up, you start finding yourself, and who you can become."
